Can anyone recommend any books on adoption? I'm not looking for anything heavy and would also like a book that can assist with feelings and communiction with your spouse on the decision. We are strongly leaning towards this and there's so much to understand before making our final decision.
Re: Adoption books
The Complete Adoption Book is a good book for general information about adopting. Adoption for Dummies has a lot of good info in it, too.
Not sure about a book as far as communicating about it with your spouse. I haven't really read anything on that.
Best of luck.
I'd also recommend The Complete Idiot's Guide to Adoption.
As for communicating, it helped us to read and discuss some of the issues brought up in the book, which covered many of the issues associated with adoption.
Good luck!
