2nd Trimester

Anyone else have an excema or itch type rash under their boobs?

It is the strangest thing- I got this with my 1st pregnancy but I can't remember what I did to help it.  It is a raised red and itchy rash that is from hormones, I guess.  It is very itchy in an almost burning way.  Makes wearing bras horrible!  I will ask at my next appt, but I do not know what is safe to use on it.

  • Eucerin is awesome skin cream for even the most chapped, dry skin.

  • ME TOO!!!  I hate it.  Fortunately, most of the other "symptoms" have gone away, but the itchy under boob thing is really driving me nuts!  My sister gave me some Palmer's Soothing Oil for Dry Itchy Skin.  She got it at Motherhood, but I've seen it at Target, too.  I just started using it last night and haven't seen any noticeable difference, but she swears it's the best stuff on earth. If I can't get it under control on my own I'll be asking about it at my next appt.

    Good Luck!

  • i have it there and arms and thighs. i'm using gold bond methenol anti itch cream and while it smells, it totally works. i asked my doc and all they could suggest was a level c steroid cream, which i passed on.
  • I've been using baby oil as soon as I get out of the shower to help moisturize and noticed a difference.

    GL!

  • I had the same thing - my doc perscribed a cream of Clotrimaderm CR and 1% Hydrocortisone Powder and it took it right away. However, it did nothing for the mysterious rash all over the rest of my body :(

Make sure you're completely dry under your BBs after a shower - I have started using baby powder there before I put my bra on.

    Good luck!

  • I have a lovely rash all over my torso.  I asked my Dr. about it yesterday.  She said to stay away from scented soaps and lotions.  1% hydrocortisone is ok and so is benadryl cream.

Thanks girls!  I am going to try some powders, creams don't seem to be working!
