your baby on your sonogram??

I had an appointment with my OB/GYN and she could not see the baby yet. She took some blood to confirm pregnancy. My temps are still up and all the pregnancy tests are confirming pregnancy.

I am a little bit worried about my Dr. not being able to see my baby on a sonogram. I know it's a bit early, but I am still worried. I am either 4 or 5 weeks pregnant.?

so I was wondering if someone had the similar experience?

First, stop temping!

We saw the "baby" at 6w1d. It was more like a little blob and a yolk sac with a flickering hb.

6 weeks with hb, but she sd that she had to zoom way in cause the baby was so small. So it could just take a couple of weeks. Good luck and best wishes

Went in at 5 weeks 4 days and only saw a gestational sac, no baby.  Went in a week later and saw the baby and the heartbeat.  Saw it again at 8 weeks.

They haven't even tried to see the baby yet.  I have an ultrasound on Thursday and I cannot freaking wait!  I think it might all feel REAL then....

definitely stop temping!!! 4 or 5 weeks is still very early to see anything. my first u/s i'll be 6w3d and we'll be hoping to see a hb then, GL!

I went in at 5 weeks and only saw the yolk sac.  Went back at 6 weeks 2 days and saw baby with a heartbeat.  It is truly amazing how much difference one week can make!

Don't worry!  We had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 2 days and only saw a gestational sac and yolk sac.  We went in again at 6 weeks, 2 days and saw our little one with a beating heart. 

 

It is completely normal and almost expected that you won't see the fetal pole that early.

u/s a day short of six weeks we saw a yolk sac, and couldn't tell if anything in second sac

two weeks later saw more of a blob in each sac and hb's

I think it's still early for you, don't worry and congrats!

Thank you all so much! It made me feel a little better. My Dr said that she should have my blood work back tomorrow, so I am really hoping that she'll be able to confirm everything! DH is still in denial and does not want to think that I am pg until Dr tells me that.

we saw baby with hb at 6w0d on a belly ultrasound.

 4-5 weeks is really early to see anything on an ultrasound - was there a reason that your ob did an ultrasound so early?  if you have had positive hpt(s), you are pregnant- you dont need a blood test to "confirm" it.  and i agree with the rec to stop temping immediately.  the hormones from pregnancy will do crazy things to your temp and will likely only be another source of worry.

I guess they figured since my cycle was long, then she might be able to see something. According to my cycle I should be 5.5 weeks pregnant, but I ovulated late, so I think I am only 4 weeks and 4 days pg.?

Thank you all for kind words. I will need to hide my BBT, so I won't be tempted to temp again.

Even thoutht we were trying to 6 months, this was a bit unexpected, because I was certain, that AF would show up and that I was late simply because of time difference and travel. ?

we saw ours at 6w4d. I wouldn't worry though it is still really early. The dr. kept telling us not to worry if we don't see anything b/c we might not. So I think it's common to not be able to see the baby so early. Was your dr. worried? I wouldn't worry unless they are.

Don't worry you are still super early like depending on when you ovulated could have just implanted.  My doctor didnt try the first time until I was 8 weeks and that was only because I was on the pill.  This time I will probably be ten weeks before he looks and maybe just try to find heartbeat then so don't worry the baby is so small at that point hard to find.

I haven't even seen my dr. yet.  I've only had lab work done and I will see his nurse on Wednesday and I'll be 9 weeks then.  I know you're worried, but it's still really early.  I won't even see the dr. until I'm 12 weeks...it will all be okay.  Stay positive and GL!

Thank you girls. My Dr. was not worried at all. She said that it was very early in the pregnancy and that the walls of the sac were either set for early pregnancy or for AF, she could not tell yet.?

I should have the answer to my blood work tomorrow and to be honest I can't wait. I guess I just want to hear it from my doc to make it official. I still can't believe and DH is still in denial about it. ?
