I've started ob/gyn or midwife hunting and I am concerned. There's nto a lot here, and being of a holistic mindset I am PICKY.

I'm that way too! I know it might be far for some but you should check out the Birth Center in Wilmington. They are a fantastic resource for midwife care and other classes while/after?pregnancy.

I'm in Sussex County and hoping to move away asap b/c the lack of holistic health services. There are some places in Lewes (Lewes Healing Arts), but not much. We're TTC soon, and I'll def. be checking out The Birth Center in Wilmington. It's 2 hours away, but a friend of mine had a lot of success and loved it there!

I checked with the health food store in Dover. there's a nurse-midwife in Dover I might work with named Sandy Elliot, she's with Dr. Khan's practice.

Rumor has it people might try to make an alternative birthing center in Dover next year. There's one holistic birthing midwife in Dover, I forget her name, not licensed,but she's trying to start that next year.
