One of my friend's from college is named Zoe, so I have a good association with it. I also like the name in general, but I don't like it enough to considering using it for my phantom DD.
It's my last name! But pronounced "Z-Oh" so I guess it doesn't count. But it's one of my favorite girl names. Love it!
Come on, you know you want to have a Zoe Zoe. The thing about Zoe is it's cute for a little kid but I don't think it works well for anyone past the age of 20.

Nay. It makes me think of a pottery major who doesn't shave. No real person I'm associating it with, really, just the image that the name brings to mind. I agree with the pp who said it's kind of cute for a little girl but doesn't wear well on an adult.
Re: Girl name
Great name! Yay!
I really like the name...it's just not something I would choose.
And I know no Zoes in real life.
I don't now any Zoe's either.
Personally I don't like that name. I feel some people wouldn't know how to pronounce it right - Zo versus Zoie. And the Z just throws me off a lil'.
It's not even in the top 50 girl names according to social security.?
My friend had her baby girl last April and her name is Zoe Mae, I love it!

And I don't know any either, of any age!

I like it. It's an older name, too-- J.D. Salinger wrote a book called Franny and Zooey. Spelled differently, obviously.
I have never met a Zoe in my life.
