Standing in crib???

How to you handle DC standing in their crib when they are suppose to be sleeping?  We did Ferber at about 6m and it worked ok I guess, she finally got the hang of going to sleep on her own at about 6.5 months, she has been doing great for a week.  Now this week she has learned how to pull up and is doing it everywhere (couch, laundry basket, etc.), including in the crib.  So now she is standing in the crib crying and wont go to sleep.  We will go in and lay her down, and she just gets back up the minute we leave.  We did this whole process for an hour and half last night at 1 am!!! I am exhaushted... anyway, what do you do just let them cry, or go lay them down or what?? TIA

Re: Standing in crib???

  • It took about a month for novelty to wear off for my DD. From 5.5mo-6.5 (coupled with teething and learning to crawl) nights were hellish. Now that she can do it whenever shes not as obssesed with doing it in the crib and only does it when she wakes to eat. She ended up in our bed for a while because it was the only way the we got any sleep but I'm happy to report that she is now back in her crib and sleeping in 8 hour stretches before waking to eat (we bf).
