What tempature is considered a fever in a 3mo

I took it axillary and the first reading was 99.2 then I followed the instructions I found online and cleaned under her arm (I only used a wipe) and redid it and it was 98.8.  Her cheeks are rosy which is why I got concerned.  I am considering Tylenol or calling the pedi.

  • If you are concerned enough to take her temp. you should do it the correct way, which is rectally for an infant. When you call your pedi, they are going to ask you for it. I hope she's ok! It's so scary when they are sick.

You can call, but I wouldn't be concerned. I'd be more concerned if it were above 100. But if that last reading is right, she doesn't even have a fever, right?

ETA: PP is totally right. The ped will ask you what it is rectally...

100.4, rectally.    She sounds fine though - no need to call imo
