Hi there -- HCG is not an indication of twins. Some twin mommies had super low HCG, some super high, some right in the middle. When is your first u/s? That is when you'll know for sure.
If you want to look at more beta numbers, www.betabase.info is a great site. You can compare your doubling times to other singleton and multiple pgs.
When I got my numbers, I immediatly suspected twins, but mostly because I was comparing my numbers to my first pg. My nurse said "no, those are singleton numbers".... but I noticed that I was on the high side of a single pg and within the range of twins on betabase, so I wondered... And the nurse was wrong.
yea i know the chances would be slim because twins don't run in my family, but i also read that identical twins aren't hereditary. and my husband has himself convinced that its twins haha
oh! and i was put on prometrium twice a day because my progesterone was a little bit low (12) and i know of a couple people that also had to do that with multiples
