Hello Ladies! This is a check-in for Nesties with a due date in the month of August. If you would like to be added, please post your name and EDD. Also, if you want anything changed, please post your EDD along with your new info so it's easier to find your name on the list. Check-ins will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday before 6am. Feel free to check-in any time that day. Give us a general update on your progress and anything else you want to add!! We will have a question of the day as well.
Please tell me if you are NOT planning on finding out the sex/gender so I can go ahead and get "surprise" beside your name!!! If I do not get a "boy, girl or surprise or another explanation" from you by the beginning of May then I will remove you from the list so we will have active members remaining...
My work schedule will be changing again on March 8. Check-ins will be posted earlier as I will have to be at work at 6am?yikes. Still feel free to post at any time of day.

No vacations for us...we didnt get enough tax money back this year, plus I will more than likely be huge come summer, so not fun traveling...lol.

We are officially on team Blue!!! yay We got confrimation yesterday that its a boy!! So, it IS possible to see a boy at 13w...lol...

Unfortunately all of our savings/tax money is going towards paying bills so I can take a year off of work. So no real vacations for us. We may go down the shore for a night or two though.

Happy Friday! We are going to use my parents timeshare for a 5 day trip. We were going to go to Ireland this year if not prego but I don't want to leave the contry just in case.

Friday QOTD: Are you still planning on going on vacation this summer? Holidays! Yup! In typical Irish poor person fashion, we'll be going do to our friends mobile home beside the sea with the kids. Liam is still talking about last years trip so I guess we'll have to go again. It was great craic (fun).

Its an Irish kids rite of passage to go to Wexford in the summer and stay in a caravan for a week. Its a major bonus if it doesn't rain!!

The caravans are more like houses these days. This is a 3 bedroom with a large sitting room and kitchen and decking. Not like in my day when a shower was a bucket of cold water while standing outside crying!! LOL

We'll be going to the Dominican in May for a friend's wedding. That's probably the extent of our vacations, though. My family's vacation to Colorado is a no-go this year since it's 3 weeks before my due date.

Friday QOTD: Are you still planning on going on vacation this summer?

No way! lol DH tried convincing me to go see Ricky Henderson inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, but that is on July 26 so (on his own) he realized that it would be impossible for either of us to go. I was so proud of him when he told me this! It shows me that he's really starting to think about this baby now and what it means for our family. :-)

We're going to do a few long weekends, nothing fancy or far away. We'll go camping once or twice, down the shore to my aunt's beach house and up the mountains to our Pocono house.

Good morning and TGIF!

We do not plan on going on a vacation this Summer. We had a cruise planned for our due date before BFP, so we moved it up to January and had a nice babymoon. We may go away for a weekend before the baby comes, but that's about it.

Nothing really new to report, we did get to see the baby last friday, that was amazing!!! Our big U/S is scheduled for 3/26...so I'll be able to report what we're having then!!

QOTD: Not that I know of, we're thinking of going to Vegas for a long weekend, but it's not for certain. Also...some of the girls were looking for this post last night, apparently since it's posted so early, a lot don't see it by the time they get on, mid morning or whatever. So just a suggestion, perhaps post this a little later in the morning? Just a thought. It works fine for me how it is now though...just a suggestion!

Morning, all! Hope you are doing well and have a lovely weekend. It's going to nice and actually warm in NJ, so I plan to enjoy the weather and take a long walk with my dog on Sunday.

As for a Summer vacation... I'm taking a vacation, but not in the Summer. My husband and I are going to Orlando (Disney & Sea World) the first week of May for his birthday. I plan to take it as easy as possible?though amusement parks = lots of walking?and, unfortunately, can't go on any of the "good" rides. But I think it will be a lot of fun. I think this will be our last real vacation until our baby is a few years old.

Not exactly a vacation, but we'll be moving across the country in May, so taking the great American road trip. When I'm six months pregnant. With our little dog. It will be an epic adventure!

We just got back from Florida, and it was so nice to be in the sunshine after having 5 months of snow.

As for this summer, we will not go anywhere. We live on the Lake and in a fun beach town so we rarely leave during the summer months.

Friday QOTD: Are you still planning on going on vacation this summer?

probably not....we might take a weekend break or something, but a real vacation is not likely...like most everyone else is saying, we need to put as much money away for the baby and upcoming expenses as possible.....

feeling pretty good these days, for the most part....no nausea anymore, just some dizziness and light-headedness in the morning.....and extreme congestion at night....but someone posted about the nasal strips the other day, and i tried 'em for the first time last night.....i was FINALLY able to get a decent night's sleep!......we have our big u/s on 3/24/09, so we are looking forward to that!!......i think it's a girl, but we shall see.....

*Our baby's sex will be a surprise!

We are planning on going to Denver, CO for Memorial Day weekend to see our cousin's wedding. We live in Michigan so we will be flying, but it will be a lot of fun to see family that we haven't seen in a while. We will go on a few small trips around Michigan too- camping, other out of town weddings, etc.

Friday QOTD: Are you still planning on going on vacation this summer???Nah, we never go on vacation during the summer anyway because that's the busiest time of the year for my job and I can't afford to miss any work. ?We will probably be able to sneak a three-day weekend up to Maine or New Hampshire or something, but that's it.?

So maybe it seems early, at 17 weeks, to be feeling the baby ? but ladies, this kid is a MOVER!! ?I can't believe how much movement I'm feeling! ?Especially in the mornings. ?It's crazy! ?It's mostly below my belly button, but this morning in bed I actually felt it just behind my belly button, too! ?So the kid is going to town in there. ?Wow! ?It always makes me giggle. ?What a weird feeling! ??

We are having some mini-vacations. My sis moved to Philly last August, and we're going to visit them for several days in April. We're trying to find the money to go on a "babymoon" in May. If we can afford it, we'll be going to one of our favorite cities, Savannah, for a weekend. If not, we'll go stay for free in DH's grandparents beach trailer. We also have a wedding in VA beach in June.

And, my family still takes a weeklong vacation every year together...we're boaters. My dad recently bought an RV, so sometime in July, my 8 month pregnant a$$ will be sleeping in a camper and using a bathhouse! But DH and I are saving some PTO for when our DC comes along, so we will probably do a long weekend there.

When you say "caravan" it makes me think of the episode of Fr. Ted with Graham Norton in that tiny caravan. ?LOL!! ?My brother-in-law takes the kids to Bettystown in the summer for a similar experience (coming from the North they wouldn't make it all the way down to Wexford) and they love it. ?Fun, kind of makes me excited for a time when our kid(s) are older and we can do summers in Ireland.?

Don't have any official vacation plans, but we are discussing going on a long weekend trip. I have vacation days here and there planned, but overall am saving my time off for maternity leave.

Feeling good today, but starting to look and feel fat...don't look pregnant at all, just starting to lose my waist. I will be fine and I know it's part of the process! This is not a "weight issue" just an update on my progress! : )

Are you still planning on going on vacation this summer? I haven't gone on a "summer vacation" since I was in like 6th grade. My bday is in June and sometimes we take little trips. Last year we went and spent the weekend in Monterey, so maybe we'll be able to do something like that, but nothing extravagant.

I have my 16 week dr's appt on Tuesday next week. I can't wait. We're supposed to schedule the u/s when we go. I'm so excited to find out. We've decided we might not tell family members, but we'll see how long that goes on. DH can't keep a secret to save his life.

Happy Friday! I'm so glad there's nothing to do this weekend. I'm exhausted! DD is going to spend the night with grandma (my mom) tonight and I'm going to sleep. I know, pretty pathetic, but I definitely need it.

Friday QOTD: Are you still planning on going on vacation this summer?

We are not planning a big get away vacation, but we have decided to go camping Memorial Day weekend with friends (I will be 29 weeks). We are renting a camper, instead of sleeping in our tent this year. Then 2 weeks later we are renting a cabin with another group of friends. But thats it for the whole summer since I am due August 4th!
