Hi ladies,
You all have wonderful taste and ideas so I was wondering if you could help me with a dilemma. I can't find boy bedding that I like.
Part of the problem is that the nursery will only be a nursery for about six months to a year so I am concerned about painting it a color that can't easily be turned into a guest room.
I would like the room to be painted some version of bright/deep blue so the crib bedding needs to have some blue in it.
We live in a historic home so anything too modern would look out of place. Here are the ones I found so far:

I sort of like this (I am not a huge frog fan). But it has the blue that I want. It is expensive so I was thinking of just getting the bumper and blanket and getting less expensive crib sheet and skirt.

This is pretty expensive for me and it doesn't have the blue I want but it is so pretty. I figure maybe just get the quilt, sheet and bumper and get a less expensive crib skirt.

This seems a little washed out for what I was looking for but I could get the quilt and bumper and then get a colorful sheet & skirt.

I am a little worried about the quality with this one. I thought about just getting the quilt (which I like) and then finding a different bed skirt and bumper. I am not a fan of how much brown there is but I like the stripes. Maybe getting a custom bumper and a plain white skirt? Or use the fabric in the skirt to jazz up a white skirt?
Any suggestions? Am I being too picky? Is there someone specific who you know that could do custom bedding if I can't find what I want?
Thank you!
Re: Need opinion on boy nursery (long post)
I never follow non-clicky links (too much work) but I can say that you have the right idea to avoid bedding sets and pick what you love and fill out the rest with cheaper products. I would find a crib sheet or two you really like, and buy a crib skirt that goes well with them. Don't bother with a quilt unless you plan to use it purely as decoration. You should never put something like that in the crib with the baby.?
Don't get a bumper. They're cute, but dangerous. They're not only a suffocation risk, they can also help babies climb out of the crib once they're a bit older. I know this is a debated topic, but I firmly believe a live baby is far better than a cute bedding set.?

Sounds like you're all over the place! Not to worry, there are so many options out there and having something custom made when you can't find exactly what you want is one way to go. I think first you need to decide what you're willing to spend and what elements of bedding and decor are must haves. Feel free to email me if you'd like to chat about something custom. Here are some fabric samples that I found with the blue you mentioned that aren't too contemporary to detract from the style of your house. are you partial to any particular theme? jungle, toile, sports, farm animals, nautical, etc. These fabrics would be the main fabric in the bumper pad and then the trim and ties would have a coordinating blue stripe, polkda dot or solid. just some ideas! good luck!

Your not too picky at all! My sister made Greysin's bedding because I wanted a nautical theme, and couldnt find anything at the time.

This website is a handmade website and it is totally awesome. Just look on the bar to the left and search children, then baby, then bedding and it will bring up a bunch of things, all usually custom. I have gotten many things through this site, and all are amazing and the quality is top notch. Hope this helps.
What about this... it is on SALE like half off
