Ideas please...

I'm a SAHM and would like to get out and do some volunteer work during the week, that I could bring my two year old with me to do. The only thing I can think of is doing visits at nursing homes...any other ideas? I'd like at least a couple different types of activities. My pet causes are kids and animals, but my old volunteer activities are not toddler friendly. Thanks!

I'm just marking this post to see if anyone else has suggestions. 

 I tried finding something in my area but came up empty.  We look at it as volunteering so we think they should be flexible.  The agencies and places that use those volunteers really depend on your to operate and bringing a child with you makes you a liability.  They need their volunteers to be at 100% and you can't do that when you have a child with you. (This is just some of the conversations I had with different places I tried.)

I work with a dog rescue group from my house.  I foster dogs in my house and help organize adoptions.  I'm working on developing an email newsletter for them now too. 

It is too hard for me to get out to volunteer with 3 kids so I looked for something I can do from home. 

If you are crafty, you can try calling around to see if any children's hospitals need homemade blankets, hats, or toys.
