Is Mason a trendy boys name?

Hi Ladies - Just found out I am having a boy and Mason is the only name that my husband and I "kinda" agree on.  I have only heard of one other recently-born Mason, but the Bump says its #39 in popularity.  Do you know many little Masons running around?

 He has vetoed my other two favorite names: Henry and Ethan.

 I am trying to stay away from uber-popular names (I know Ethan is way up there, too).

    I only know 1 other Mason and he's almost 8 years old now. I don't really see it as "trendy".

    I know a 33 year old and a 27 year old named Mason, so I don't consider it trendy.

    i don't know too many but according to name voyager in 2007 it was ranked 37, that's pretty high. in a few years it will probably be all over the place. i saw it spelled "macen" somewhere, PLEASE don't name your baby that!

    I went to high school with a Mason.  I also work with kids and there are two kids named Mason at the school of about 150 kids?

    my nephews are 4, 9, 11 yrs old-  when we were at their house around the holidays i flipped through their xmas card thing  (lots of cards from school-aged friends families) and Mason was all over the place as a kids name.

    it completely nixed it for me

    I haven't heard of many IRL, but I don't know if it is becoming trendy like all the "aidens" (Braden, Jayden, etc). Check this out:

    One of my friends named their boy Mason. Ive never heard of it before and hes the only Mason I know.

    i don't think it's trendy at all and i love the name. it reminds me of mason on dead like me--- LOVED that show.

    I'm a teacher in Cincinnati and Mason is sooo popular here! It's like Emily was in the 90s!

    It's fairly popular in my area. I know of at least 2 that are junior high age, but have also heard of 2 born within the last year. ?I like it - my friend used it for her son and I think it's a really nice name so who cares if it is popular.?
