Even w/out those associations, I don't particularly like it. Sorry.

I think of Jasper, Brian's flamingly gay cousin on Family Guy. It's hilarious... but now DH and I laugh every time we hear that name.
Sorry!
Haha i used to like this name but DH said no, even if he said Yes, after reading this i would have said NVM, its def a No!! Haha, i forgot all about him!
I like it because it's different, but it makes me think of 101 dalmations (which some little kids may potentially notice, however, I think some sort of nickname or thought can come out of any name so I wouldn't worry about connections!)
My nephew's name is Jasper, I think it's super cute. Everyone calls him "Jazzy". When he was really small he couldn't pronouce it and referred to himself as "Bappy". I think it's a great name.

I like it and I've never known anyone with that name. It makes me think about Rufus Sewell's character in The Holiday.
Yeah I was actually going to say it only sounds kind of good when said with a British accent (i.e. when Kate Winslet says it) but not so much with an American accent. When I first heard the name I thought it was horrendous, now it's not bad but I wouldn't choose it for a child.

I think of Jasper Tudor, the Great Uncle of King Henry VIII (the one with six wives). I would like this name for that reason if it weren't for Twilight.
I've liked this name forever (I first liked in because of Jasper Dale from the Avonlea books)
Now, of course, it makes most people think of Twilight. BUT - I do like it.
agree !
TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages.
Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.
i always loved jasper until the twilight series came out. now everyone might associate it with that or just because they've heard it in that, it may seem more common.
