About 21 being too young to be married & pregnant and now 1st Tri is looking to come after me with torches and pitchforks.
I apologized but, per usual, this won't drop.
Bluesmoothee, I'm taking your spot today. Can I borrow your flame-retardant suit?
That'll show me to mock someone... others can do it with ease and few repercussions. Me... tar and feathers.
C'est la vie.
Re: I made an Ageist comment
They were right about one thing: I shouldn't have said anything in the first place. What gets me is some (not all) who can't accept an apology or move on. That's one thing I have learned over the years?not to hold grudges.

Yeah, I guess hindsight is always 20/20...but, I've seen some posts from the "regulars" that are just WAY over the top mean (for goodness sake, if a post is "dumb" why do they feel the need to respond/comment??), yet, somehow that is okay...but, if you try to make a sincere apology they just continue their rants.
I'm just about done with all the nonsense. It's getting too hard to sift through all this crap to get to the fun/informative stuff...
I could not agree more. I have no patience for beating a dead horse when it would just be easier to move on.

Have fun with it! It was good times yesterday. I've been too busy today to stir up sh*t.
All the snark scares me a little, it feels like being back in middle school when I was not "in" with the "in crowd". Sorry everybody is mad at you now, the online pack behavior would be a fascinating psychological study, don't you think. I mean, you can't just gang up on someone IRL so I guess they feel it's okay online.
Yikes! That's why I stay away from other boards.
*grabs fire extinguisher*
GL!
If I had gotten married when I was 21, I would have been divorced by the time I was 25. Don't worry about it. They'll be onto a new snark tomorrow.
Robynlesley, my sister is due three days after you. Yay for August babies!
Btw, I'm not pregnant. Just over 35
and killing time while DH works. Please don't chase me with pitchforks!
Happy and healthy 9 months to all of you!

Don't worry about it! I am sorry that you got flamed. Trouble is that we are old enough that message boards weren't around when we were 21. We never got develop our "snark."
I was the ultimate beebee when I was 21. Thank God, no one wanted to marry me then. I shudder to think how dumb I was! In my case, I really needed to grow up first. Although, I never would have asked that question she asked.
I took a break from my laptop and have moved on. But thanks for the commiseration, everyone.
And that question WAS quite scary. LOL!

I miss all the fun! Now I need to go find the thread. Was this the genius who asked if people were taking birth control while pg to avoid irish twins, or was this someone else??
Robyn - Don't even worry about their opinions. They probably think we are all old hags who shouldn't be allowed to reproduce at our advanced ages, despite the fact that we have some life expereince and wisdom under our belts.
MrsZee - you are safe. We are too busy being adults to chase folks with pitchforks!
That was the one! Oh, Lord! And my comment was basically how come I thought people shouldn't get married and have children at age 21 -- poster of the Irish Twins is that age. No worries... I just had a bad day yesterday and the flames (though quickly extinguished) were just the icing on the cake.

Are you kidding me?! Tell me she wasn't serious. That is outrageous.
Gotta love the Irish twins post! ?Classic.
I didn't see the post where you got flamed, since I stay far away from first trimester now (second is a wee bit better), but 21 IS too young to get married and have a baby. ?If you insist on getting married AT LEAST wait to have kids. ?Enjoy your 20's.
I remember when I was in my early 20's, I so badly wanted to married my BF and have babies. Thank GOD I didn't. I know I would be divorced now! ?
The problem is, you can't tell them they are wrong, because they will never see that. ?They think they are fully-matured adults and only experience and hind-sight will bring some sense to them. ?I know I was the same way when I was that age.?
Ha! In 5-10 years when they are divorced, they may remember that "older" woman on the message boards as being right!
That's why I stay over here & TTC after 35. The few times I check out those boards I am so tempted to write. They would probably be putting hexes on me & wishing evil upon me.
Way to speak your mind Robyn!
I happen to agree with you. That said, however, my BFF got married at 21 and has two fantastic children. Everyone is very happy and well-adjusted. I still think it's too young, but most people think 35 is too old, so there you go! Everybody's got an opinion.
