Infertility
Parenthood for Me, Inc.
Through a FB post from my local Young Professional group I found a group called Parenthood for Me, Inc. They are a fledgling non profit whose ultimate goal is to offer grant money to help ease the financial burden of infertility treatments and adoption. They just are launching but hope to offer grants by spring of 2010.

Since they're local to me, I emailed the founder, Erica, and just had tea with her this morning. She's an adoptive mama who adopted their son from Korea last year. Of course I'd been hoping that they'd already been offering grants, but it was great to meet with someone else who "understands" and now is putting forth efforts to help others in the same place.
The unique piece of this is that they'll be offering grants for BOTH IF treatment AND Adoption. Their goal is to help people build families in whatever way is right for them.
You should check them out. Maybe you have the opportunity to make a donation to this worthy cause, or maybe someday you can benefit from it. My company just gave a small donation to be a sponsor on their T Shirts they're using as their first fundraising option. They're launching the fundraising efforts with a luncheon in April.
Anyway, just wanted to spread the word about a good cause close to all of our hearts.
