s/o lowering crib mattress...

Do any of you have your cribs in a "L" in the nursery?  We have a very small room so one crib is all the way in the corner, the other is perpendicular to it and has the short end pushed up against the first one (can you picture what I mean?)

Right now I can reach when Paul scoots himseft into the corner (he rolls around and scoots like crazy in his sleep) since it's at the top... but once I move the mattress down to the bottom I'm pretty sure it will be physically impossible to pick him up if he's in the corner and a few feet from the top of the crib... kwim?  Do I have to move the cribs?
