I have been sick with a terrible cold/flu for an entire week now. I have coughed so much that my tummy is sore all over. To top it off, I have a terrible habit of sitting on my bathroom counter to get ready in the morning. This morning, I was sitting on the counter, lost my balance and fell off onto my back. I'm just incredibly sore, but have had no bleeding or anything, I'm scared to death I may have done something that could have hurt the baby. I called my OB's office and they said she does surgery on Wednesdays, but they would have her call me ASAP. Anyone else had anything like this happen? Please just pray that my baby will be OK! TIA

I am sure your baby is totally fine.  A friend of mine fell flat on her stomach at 8 months... the baby was fine.  Another friend was in a car accident in her 2nd tri - car was completely totaled... baby was fine.

I hope she calls you back soon!! I used to climb on the counters to get ready too until I fell back and busted my a$$.  I was not pg at the time but I have not crawled up there again. MY DH went and bought me a chair and a vanity mirror to use now. You and your baby are in my prayers

I hope they call you back soon, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Just no more sitting on the counters! A friend of mine fell off her counter when she was PG too, and broke her wrist trying to break her fall. She has a vanity with a chair now as well.?

I slipped and bounced down a short flight of stairs on my butt yesterday morning.  Hurt my @ss and shoulder breaking my fall, but I haven't had any cramping, bleeding or spotting, so I'm confident everything is OK.

Thinking the same thing for you; our bodies are pretty resilient.  Hope the doc calls back soon to calm your fears, though.

I slipped and fell down an entire flight of stairs on Sunday. Luckily, I fell back straight onto my butt and just slid down the stairs, but still a scary ordeal. I called my dr. to see if I needed to be checked out (I have an appointment today but wanted to make sure it wasn't an emergency that warranted an appt. that day). My dr. said as long as I wasn't bleeding or cramping, the baby should be fine, but I would be sore for a few days. I haven't had either so I'm confident everything is good. Hopefully your dr. calls you back soon just for the peace of mind.
