Shocking revelation from DH yesterday

So from the start of my pregnancy with the girls, DH was a complete wreck. And after they were born he was adamant that he never wanted to go through another pregnancy again after all of the complications we had.

Last night he comes to me and says, "You know, I wouldn't mind having another set of twins."  I had to do a double take.  Whaaaaat did you just say?????

Yup, he said he wants more and would really like twins again.  Of course we have no control over that.  Our girls were spontaneous and I think he thinks we could have twins again.  Not likely but it did give me a warm fuzzy that he wants more kids.

my DH is the total opposite.... my belly has been super itchy where my stretch marks are and I said that I feel like I was pregnant again (because of the itchiness)  His face about dropped.... yeah he is not ready for another one let alone two.

Men are surprising sometimes, huh?  My DH and I were talking last night and he randomly said, "you know, I wouldn't mind having a little girl."  I was like HUH?!?  These boys aren't even out of oven yet...don't talk to me about another pregnancy!!  I couldn't tell if he was joking or not.

My DH feels the same way.  Our girls were spontaneous too but they are fraternal so in my DH's words, "I lay more eggs".  Who knows.  We are planning on getting pregnant again though.

Wow, good for your DH!!!  I think we want to have another baby, but I am not so sure I want twins again...ours came early and I don't think I could do the whole NICU thing again.  Hopefully if we do get pg again and it's a singleton I will be able to carry to full term!

I'm pretty sure that if my H ever said he wanted more kids, I'd kick him in the boys. Luckily, I had my tubes tied so the option isn't even on the table!

MH would run for the hills if I said I was pregnant anytime soon - or ever.  He reminds at every opportunity that I have a boy & a girl so my set is complete.  Who knows what he will be saying in a few years.

Sweet. We're thinking that we'll probably have another and my husband is all for it (so far). He thinks it would be fun to have a girl, but he too thinks we'll have twins again so he's always talking about our 'four kids' (ours are spontaneous too!)

wow... i'm actually jealous. i feel the same way - we've been so lucky with these babies, that i would love to have twins again. unfortunately,  my husband is adamant about being done. he says the world is made for families of four. then again, he was an only child (i'm one of 3 girls). i'm hoping we can revisit the whole idea in a couple of years. our twins were spontaneous, so the possibility exists that it could happen again, though it's probably not likely. i think my husband would have a heart attack if we ended up with 2 again!

Dads are too funny.... since day 1 of this pregnancy, DH has been saying that we are definitely, absolutely done.  He wanted 2 with a chance of 3, but definitely not 4.  Then the other night he says that he feels bad that DD will not have a sister, so maybe we shouldn't rule it out.  I think it's so cute how they get sentimental and sweet about their kids!

That's awesome! How do you feel about it?

DH wants one more baby. I'm not so sure. Ours are spontaneous IDs too so I think we probably don't have to worry about having twins again. The thought does frighten me a little though! I had a rough pg with 2 months of hospital bedrest. I don't think I could go through that again.
