Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Really?

So, I was in the kitchen making DD's bottles for tonight and tomorrow, and she started crying (which is unusual for this time).  I could hardly hear her, since, as I said, I was in the kitchen.  DH, on the other hand, was laying on the couch, right next to the monitor.  So I walk out and say "DH!  Lucy's crying."  And he got all huffy.  I went in and gave DD her paci, and came out.  DH said "What do you want from me?  I fell asleep.  I don't feel well."  But he HAD to have heard her crying, since it was IN HIS EAR.  And I'm supposed to have sympathy for him because he "doesn't feel well?"  Really?  Because you get to go off to your "job," in which you just sit around drawing or fvcking off most of the day, if not ALL of the day, while I still have to take care of a baby all day, even when I feel like death.  So, no, you will not get my sympathy because you say you don't feel well.  And you are not off the hook for caring for your daughter simply because you don't feel well.  Sorry.

Re: Really?

  • I should also add that I haven't gotten a good night's sleep since before DD was even born, while DH gets to sleep through the night every night.  So when he pulls crap like that, it REALLY pisses me off.  I'm up with DD most of the night every night, and he complains about EVERYTHING.

Okay, sorry.  It just really irritates me sometimes.

  • I was saying this same shiit the other day. He didnt feel good while I'm cleaning the kitchen she starts crying in her bassinet while he's laying there. Hello? Get her, oh your not feeling good,& sleep til 4pm, gag. I think they think it's our "job" because we are woman or sahm's. Yes but your day off is my nice break. blahhh vent.
  • When C was this age DH was sound asleep with the monitor less than 6" from his head on full volume against the wall where C was on the other side. She was SCREAMING when I walked into the house, I could hear her outside. He never stirred and said he was tired...
  • I could have written this post except DH hasn't been sick.  He doesn't even have that excuse.

  • What is up with these H's. I thought I was the only one who felt that sometimes too.
  • They must really think we'll buy their lame excuses.
  • Dh was kinda like this last night.  Hes usually pretty good about it. Stays up until 1 or 2am if she's up, or will get up to take care of her while i'll get up at 4:30 when she usually wakes up.

DH didn't feel well last night, so the dumbarse took Nyquil at 7pm.  Duh.  "we don't have anything else"  um... yeah right NEXT to the nyquil were daytime cold pills.

So yet i feel horrible he felt like crud, i was so freakin' tired from being up since 4:30am.  So i was able to nap for an hour or so on the couch, and was up till 1am when she finally fell asleep.

Though he did want me to wake him up when she got up at her 4am time, which i did :)
