Please know that my post below was not directed at you, I completely understand why you posted what you did & I think you did the right thing.

Some of the replies I read earlier were extremely judgemental & I guess those ones just struck a chord.

You are probably a blessing to this woman & I hope she reaches out to you for the help you offered her.

It's funny because I discovered this on Friday. And by Sunday, when she sounded like she was going to kill herself, I had decided I had to do something. But in between I had shared it with a few people and explained how conflicted I was about what to do. One former Knottie/Nestie friend said, "Call her out..., unleash nestie vigilantism on her!" ;-) I knew as soon as I put it out here, people would be all over her.

But I decided to first let her try to address the inconsistencies on her own terms on the blog and when she didn't do that, I made it public. Sitemeter showed no traffic there during the time in between her making the blog private and shutting it down, which says to me she didn't have any "real" people who actually knew her reading it, or she would have emailed them about how to reach her.

Oh, and who puts sitemeter on the blog they're writing about their dead child? And then blogs about how they put sitemeter on? For real? I wondered if this was some kind of experiment, but it's almost too weird for that, even.

Butting in to say that Sulla, you're the best.  You handled this whole thing with such grace (which is very characteristic of you!) and I'm sure that you have gone a long way to help this woman.

It's all kinds of sketchy, I totally see that...but I've seen some strange stuff working with psych patients in the past.  Nothing is too outrageous.  And maybe I'm naive in thinking that someone wouldn't do something so horrible for money or some other non-illness related reason.  I refuse to believe it, it's just too depressing that someone would go there for personal gain.

Awww, thanks guys. Especially because I had taken a whole month off of nesting before this morning and SWORE I was done! (Did anyone notice? Sniff? Sniff?)

As I said earlier, I can't get into absolutely everything that happened, but right now, my conscience is clear.

And it totally occurred to me that this might be a setup leading to a plea for money, but I personally wasn't going to wait that long. And honestly, my gut says this wasn't a scam of that nature, just an emotionally needy person doing something inappropriate.
