not a fan, especially of the spelling. it looks made up. i also went to school with a girl named jene (with an accent on the last e) so i'm not even sure if there is a traditional spelling.

i didn't say it's made up, but it definitely looks like it. my mom's name is spelled "shari" and even though it isn't made up, it might as well be.
My dad is friends with a Shari. I don't think that sounds or looks made up. I am used to it though because he's been friends with her for many years. ?
I would've pronounced how Forrest Gump pronounces Jenny.
This is exactly what I think it sounds like. Blech.
Edited to add that I'm familiar with the name, and I've always thought it sounded like Jenny pronounced with a bad Southern accent (and I have a thick accent, myself!).

How does he pronounce Jenny? I don't remember that movie very much. ?
My roommate in college was Janae and she got compliments all the time. It was actually her middle name but she always went by Janae. She was an Antonia Janae.
Re: Janae
It's not on my list. I was out with the girls over the weekend and they all liked it and I was just wondering what you all thought. ?
You do know me ?
Ah, makes sense!!

I don't really like it because of the spelling. ?There are lots of pretty names with a similar feel: Janie, Jada, Kyra, Kayla.

I don't like names like this that seem american/made up to sort of sound french but aren't actually french! lol
It's pronounced Ja-nay. I'm surprised you've never heard this name. It's fairly common in my area. ?
