What is Souvlaki?

We are ordering dinner from a new place tonight so I thought that I would try something that I've never had before, but I don't even know what this is and the menu doesn't really describe it other than saying that it is served in a Pita.

    Oh man ... now I want Greek food. My mom makes the BEST dolmas EVAH. My parents lived in Crete and Athens when I was a baby.

    As a side note ... I fell down the stepns of the Parthanon when I was a wee thing. When I frown, you can still see the scar I got inbetween my eyes. It was a sign from Athena :)

    Ok, I've never had Greek food before, but I just ordered the Souvlaki. I'm so excited now!
