Our big U/S is in one week. I'm literally killing myself thinking of it and how excited I am. What did everyone do to pass the time when they waited for theirs?!?!?!?!
Also- any suggestions to get the baby moving around for the U/S? A few of my friends said drinking OJ..
Re: any suggestions?
I looked for cribs and baby furniture since we knew what we wanted whether we had a boy or girl. That passed a lot of time and kept me from thinking about it.
As far as the big u/s, I ate an egg and cheese biscuit from BK that morning along with the freaking 32 ounces of water they make you drink beforehand. The tech thought my baby was going to explode out of my ute she was so active.
Sounds like the BEST plan to me- I love BK breakfast, and an active baby will make me happy.
) Did they have you drink the 32 oz of water one hour before hand, or start drinking it one hour before hand?
EX: My appt is at 9am, so do I finish drinking the water by 9am, or finish drinking it by 8am? Either way I'm sure I'm going to piss on the U/S tech.
My appt was at 10:30 so I started drinking at 9:00 (my doc told me to start drinking 1.5 hours early). BIG MISTAKE. I had to pee so bad I was crying, the tech made me go empty my bladder halfway or so because I was "too full." My suggestion: take your bladder into account. If you have to go a lot like I do, I would only start drinking 30-45 minutes before.
The biscuit thing, I didn't do that for any reason other than I was starving. I don't know if that has anything to do with movement or not, they have a lot of room at that point anyway. She just happens to be awake during the later mornings everyday, but everyone is different.
Congrats!!!?
Just drinking water did the trick for me...She was moving like there was no tomorrow I was about to pee in my pants though.
