restoration hardware

I want to order the silver sage bedding from restoration hardware but they won't send a swatch of the material. I plan to get dark furniture and the floors are wood. I don't want boring white walls. Any other ideas? They don't have paint chips available of the bright silver sage paint and it won't be available until may. my baby is due july 10 so I have to find a different paint color.

Re: restoration hardware

  • This is the bedding we chose and iTs faB ?loTs of ben Moore colors go weLL with it...we have dark furniture and wood floors too! ? I painted a mural so I cant help with wall color too much...the base was a grey blue though...Its much lighter in person then on the site though... The fabrics I choose for window(made my own awning style cutains) had black and white and some of the sage green with chocolate...

  • Did you look at the paint collection on the regular RH website (not Baby & Child)?  They have silver sage paint in a few different shades.  I know some of the RH bedding has tan stripes or polka dots.  If you are going with one of those sets, the Toast paint color would compliment really well.

  • Can you just order something smaller like a pillow or crib sheet so you can see the color? If you're getting the bedding either way, just get 1 thing now so you can match things.
  • I ran into this problem as well. we're ordering the cloud (light blue) bedding and i wanted to find a light blue paint that matched. i ended up going to the store to see if they could help (which they could not) and bought a pillow case (which i'll return) that appeared to be similar. i didnt match it, but found a Behr paint that was a shade lighter and i think it will be perfect.

if u dont want to do the silver sage for wall color, what about a really nice ivory? i know it sounds boring, but with all that color and with wall decorations, it mgiht work well and take some stress off.

    good luck!

  • I did my complete nursery in restoration hardware using the cloud bedding and the paint from there.  I really don't think you will go wrong with the paint color. It just really blends with the room and gives it a soft look and I truly love it.  I will have to post pics soon.  I would recommend ordering the paint even using a sample first and try it on your wall.  Then bring it to a Home Depot to see if they can match it.
  • I'm not sure if I understand your question but if you want to get silver sage paint and RH doesn't have it in stock then just go to their store and get one of their bags, take it to Lowe's and have them color match it.  I did it and it works perfect.  RH bags and the color of their walls is silver sage.  We are painting our baby's room silver sage (my bathroom is also this color) and I just bought a can of it in the store last week.  It is really beautiful!  We are aren't using their bedding though.  Good luck!

    such a good idea!

  • they have siler sage in the adult store, too. you could just go there and see if they have a sample from their bedding, or by a pillowcase, get a paint match, and then return it to the store.
  • I have RH silver sage bedding in my master bedroom.  We painted one wall "Quietude" by Sherwin Williams and it matches perfectly.  It would be awesome in a nursery.  You should check out Quietude as a substitute.
