this is why i don't understand dreamfeeding... if DS falls asleep on the bottle, and i try to put it back in his mouth, he purses his lips really tight. i can't imagine trying to start feeding him while he's asleep.
We used to do this nearly every night when DD was younger. She was a terrible eater and I was always worried she wasn't getting enough formula. She goes down at 7, but before we went to bed around 11, I would go in and pick her up out of her crib. Sit in the glider and she's drink the whole bottle without ever opening her eyes. I guess she's just a sound sleeper.

I only do this when he didn't eat much during the day. Tried giving him a bottle of formula. He was so out of it! It just sat in his mouth.
