I registered for a white wicker laundry hamper with a green check liner to use in the nursery...but the thing seemed so?flimsy?and cheap in the store that I'm sure it would fall apart in no time at all. ?I'm thinking maybe I should delete it from my registry and find something different. ?What are you using?
Re: What are you using as a laundry hamper?
We got the little cloth one that goes with our bedding. It doesn't seem too sturdy either but I don't usually tote the hamper into the laundry room. ?I take the clothes out of it and carry them in a laundry basket. ?Not sure why I do it that way, I just do.
?
we have a basket w/ liner type hamper ourselves so we'll just get the cutesy one that comes with our bedding. I don't quite understand what they need to be extremely rigid for. As long as it doesn't break apart I don't think hampers are typically made to be that "solid" - you aren't gonna sit on it or anything.
if the wicker part is shedding than thats another issue.

I hadn't even thought about this yet.
DH and I have laundry hampers built into our built in closet (california closets type). We have four so that we can separate our laundry as we take it off. I'd like the baby's to be separated too. DH will probably build some sort of closet system into the closet in the baby's room, so maybe I'll have him add a couple of laundry hampers in there.

a friend gave us a bakset hamper (with a long clothesline of clothing attached to it) for my baby shower for DS - we use that - it's just big enough to hold a good amount, but not so big that we are lazy and overstuff it then realize we are out of clean clothes for DS.
for the twins i'm going to get something larger since it will be 2x's the clothing... nothing fancy nor babyish necessarily - when i see something that will blend in with the decor i'll get it.
