Mine went to go hang out with the guys, but promised to be home by 10 'at the latest'.  it's now 10:15 and he's not home. It's not that I mind him being gone, but I think it's silly that he said he'd be home so early, when we both knew he wouldn't.

It's funny that they don't know we'd rather them say "late" than be wrong when they say "early".

Mine can't tell time either. Maybe I'll get him a giant watch (digital) for his next birthday...

He just called.

DH(sheepishly): Hi.

Me: so, 10:00, huh?

DH: yeah, I'm sorry. I'll be home by 11:00

Me: whatever. Just don't be too late.

 

Anyone want to take bets on when he'll actually be home?

DH never gives me a time because he can't stick to them!  When he goes out with his friends, I usually just expect him around 3am.  After the bar closes.

This is exactly like my DH! It's been a long week full of PhD interviews and I'm tired of them and ready for them to be over with!! He's been out late every single night this week. I was pretty peeved when he told me he had to go out with his buddies to 'celebrate' tonight.

He dug his grave by saying "I should be home around 10:30 or so"...yeah...it's after 11 already. He'll stumble in drunk with a lame excuse at some point...

That is something I would totally do to my DH.  He is always punctual but when I go out with friends I always lose track of time.
