NE1 have membranes stripped?

I've had a pretty misrable week of pain and nausea so when my doc checked me today and said I was a "loose 2cm", she decided to strip my membranes to possibly help me. She said it doesn't work all the time but you never know.

Just curious if it worked for anyone here and if you had it done, how long until you went into labor?

 

A friend of mine had it done on a Thurs and was in labor by Sun.

I have a friend who got hers stripped at the end of both pregnancies and was in labor within a day. If you're already starting to dilate and efface, then it's more likely to "help" than if you're not showing any signs of progress.

I had mine stripped twice.  The first time nothing happened but I went into labor within 12 hours the second.

I had mine stripped when I was 3cm dilated and still didnt go into labor for 5 days.  I hope it works better for you!
