Question...when is first tri over?

I always thought I could breathe some at 12 weeks...but now I am reading not untill 14?!?

I am so scared to tell Krystal (blessings birthmom) untill after the first tri, but I really want to tell her ASAP...

So whats the dealio?

I follow pregnology.com and it says after the 12th week.  Meaning 13 weeks, 0 days is 2nd tri.

I have heard this on the nest but all the books I have read have said 14 weeks is the beginning of the 2nd trimester.
