Thanks for all of your replies.  Looks like, based on the majority opinion, I win the debate.  I was about to put it back on the plate, DH snatched it out of my hand and threw it away.

And, FWIW, we have no pets and the floor was cleaned yesterday.  And, I'm not sure I see how a pancake would pick up dirt more so than an oreo.  It was fully cooked so not wet or sticky, so even though softer than the oreo cookie, I still don't think it would pick up dirt or anything more so than the cookie would.
