Another Booze Dilemma: Mimosas or Sangria?

Since we hit the bottle kinda hard last Saturday with the Cosmos while watching SATC, I need to tone it down tomorrow.  Which would you prefer at 2pm with your crab dip and stuffed mushrooms?  Thanks for your support.

2pm = sangria, IMO. ?But I'd start early and fit a few mimosas in there b/c I can't resist...

Hmmm. Hard one. Mimosas = brunch to me, but sangria is sneaky. That brandy or whatever is in it can definitely lay you out.

If you want a champagne option though I really like champagne with strawberry lemonade...it's not as "breakfasty" as a mimosa.

I like to make it Mel style...

One bottle of red wine and one bottle of a sweet white, like Asti champagne? Cheap works for this swimmingly.

Add some  flavored vodka ( I hate brandy), a bunch of chopped up fruit and sugar to taste, and WA-LA.

Mix the sugar in a little warm water to dissolve though, otherwise its grainy.
