boys moved from main NICU to critical care nursery (CCN)

Our boys were born 12 days ago at 30w3d and were moved yesterday from the main NICU to the critical care nursery.  That's where the babies go when they are stable, don't have IV access, and are mainly there to grow and learn to eat.  They have made such great progress I am grateful everyday we are where we are. 

They are still on monitors because of desaturations and bradys that are occuring up to 10x/day.  Most of the time they are able to recover from them theirselves, but sometimes they do need gentle stimulation.

 Both are beginning to breastfeed for 1 feeding/day.  They are both latching really well and are showing a nice suck/swallow/breath pattern.  We're just counting the days til they can come home.

that's great! ?my boys were born at 30w 0d and were in the NICU/step down nursey for 38 days. ?They have been home for about 1 1/2 months now and are doing great. ?Hang in there! ?The good days will get more and more frequent! ?goo luck!

Hayden was born at 30 w 2d and was in that nursery for about 27 days.
