Double Strollers..worth the $$?

So, I've finally found one that, if I'm going to get one, this is definitely the one I'm going to get.

My question now is....is it worth it? The one I want to get is $200 and I am able to take off the back seat so it's an open basket and one seat if I should only have one child with me. How much do you use it? My DH thinks it's a waste b/c DD can walk but there are going to be times where she will want to sit and it'll just be easier having her strapped in.

So....answer me this....is it worth it?

  • Your DC's age difference is close to mine and I am getting a sit and stand because DD does not always need a stroller, but if she gets tired she can sit in the jump seat or stand up to hitch a ride. I love the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. GL!

  • I love my double, I have a Kolcraft Contours Double. I bought it because my baby's are only 16mths apart. Had DD been older, I probably would have opted for a Sit and Stand, which I may end up getting this summer since she is becoming little Miss Independent.

  • I've used mine several times and though I don't use it every week it has been worth it in my opinion.  We will use it a lot more this Summer.
  • I have a DD who was born 6/06 and another coming in a few weeks.  I have two of them.  I can't imagine trying to go places without a stroller.  DD can walk some, but not more than about 1/2 mile.   I like to get out of the house.  I have a phil and ted for out and about and a chariot for home.

This is the exact one I was looking at getting.  There are times when DD will fall asleep in the stroller so I wanted something that I could lay her down in, if she should get tired.  Do you think a 2 1/2 year old would do okay in this stroller?  I think she would enjoy facing DS once in awhile and plus I could always use it as a one-seater, right?

  • It was worth it for us, because Lydia was only 17 months when Nora was born. But we keep the double and umbrella stroller in the car. Sometimes we use the double, sometimes we just use the umbrella stroller for whoever wants to sit.?
