I read your post this morning about your guys going to EI and I have a feeling we will be on the same boat soon. Their pedi said that at 15 months they need to know and be able to recognize 2 body parts and at 18 months know and be able to say 6 words.
We are no where near close I have been asking my guys where my/ their nose is for 2 months and all thats happened is that I've gotten hit in the face (once).
If you don't mind me asking, How many words can your guys say and know the meaning of? What does their pedi expect of them?
Its hard for me b/c my ILs are so unsupportive of ANYTHING the doctors say. No matter what it is.
Re: ***pea-kay***
yeah, the evaluator did say something about how they should start to know some body parts soon. they don't know any. and they'll be 15 months old next week.
i'm not sure what my ped expects - i don't remember her saying anything about it at their 12 month visit. i guess we'll find out next week.
the words they say and mean are:
mama
dada (i'm pretty sure they know these by now)
cracker
cat
ball (maybe - i'm not entirely convinced)
cup (maybe - daycare says they say this, but i've never heard it)
and that's it. i'll have to let you know next week what the ped things. i suspect she'll be glad we got the EI for them.

well, my boys are about a month older (but i'm not sure about adjusted age - their adjusted bday is 1/20) and a month ago, they really only knew cracker and maybe cat. i don't even think they were saying mama and dada then. so honestly, they're about at the same point as my boys.
and growling is so cute!!
good luck!
