help please..

i have been having this weird shooting pain today. i know that my uterus is stretching and all that jazz...but this is awkward. its like 3 inches to the left of my belly button. and its only like a 3 inch long spot. evey so often ill get a shooting pain just in that spot for like a second. nowhere else. i havent had sex in 2 days, so that shouldnt play a factor.. any one else have anything close to this? its not a doubling over pain or anything, just a fast pain that feels like its right under the surface of my skin.. not even like into the muscle, like a BH contraction... hmm.. makin me wonder... any thoughts??

sounds like round ligament pain.  mine got so bad at 20 weeks i ended up in the er.  i alternate warm and cool compress when it gets bad and it seems to help.

makes sense, i just am thinking that its in such a small area ya know. like literally 3 inches.. weird.. its making me nervous

I agree with PPs.  I had ligament pain in so many places.  I finally remarked to the nurse that I thought I'd know where every ligament was by the time the baby was born.  She looked a little alarmed and said "let's hope not, there are a lot of them!"  Call your dr in the morning if you're worried, but it's probably nothing.

thanks ladies. i called the Dr on call. he said that it sounds like the ute is pressing on the nerves since its getting bigger. since it is in such a small area.and not all over. thank you all. he said to call the Dr tmrw if it happens still and ask them to bring me in.
