Hi Girls! I don't have much time to Nest anymore but I wanted to share my story with you all. After going to the Dr's office due to spotting, I was sent to the ER at 24w1d because my cervix was starting to dilate and my water was bulging. (incompetent cervix)
Our little guy was born 2 weeks later on 12/30/08 at 26w2d at 2lb 3 oz. He's doing amazing now and is hopefully coming home in a couple weeks.
Just another success story to help anyone who may be battling something similar right now. I know the success stories helped us get through it all.
Pics on my blog!

welcome and congrats on your beautiful son! ?dylan and cassidy were born at 26w1d and are going to be an adjusted 12 months on tuesday. ?they have consistently met or exceeded all of their adjusted milestones (and i hope it continues...fingers crossed). ?they spent 88 and 80 days in the nicu and were born at 1 lb 13 oz and 1 lb 13.5 oz.; their nicu stay was basically smooth for 26 weekers. ?they were vented on the oscillator for about a week each. ?then on canulas. ?dylan had a grade 1 IVH and a pneumothorax that required a chest tube. ?they both had 2 blood transfusions, they both had PIE, they both had A's and B's and came home on monitors. ?cassidy had reflux, and that ended my 7 adjusted months. ?i am continually amazed by their strength and i'm a very lucky mom. ?i count my blessings each and every day.
i look forward to hearing his success stories and getting to know you.

Andrew's story is similar - he was on a vent for a week I think, an oscillator for about another week while he had a pneumo and a chest tube etc. He has a grade 1 and grade 4 IVH but luckily the grade 4 was very small so they think any long term damage will be very minor. Also had multiple blood transfusions, and he has reflux issues
"typical" 26 week issues I guess!
Thanks for sharing your story! I'm glad your little ones are doing so well.
thanks!! :-) Sounds fun...I've never been to NJ!
I'm glad to hear that everything is going well for your son. The feeding pics are cute!
Our stories are very much alike.
Oh my, he is such a cute little baby, very sweet face. Congrats on making it this far and I am sure your are a very proud mama.
I was diagnosed with IC due to funneling on Monday (24 weeks 1 days) and am on total bed rest. Your story gives me hope and even brought a tears to my eyes.
I wish you and your family and of course your little peanut the best of luck!
