I asked over in breastfeeding, but its a bit slower over there...
I had a boob job done a few years ago, and was assured at the time by the surgeon that there was no risk to breastfeeding, but I've read conflicting reports online (mostly ones with clear agendas). Some say its a big no, some say no problem, and others say limited milk production. Anyone with personal experience (past mamas) or in the same boat?
Thanks
Re: Breast augmentation question
pPROM at 27 weeks, Birdy born at 28 weeks at 2lb 7oz.
Here's a link to a site called Breast Feeding After Reduction - it also addresses BFing after augmentation. I had a reduction 10 yrs ago and it did limit my ability to nurse my son - however, reduction is a completely different ballgame than augmentation. Hope this helps.

I had a breast augmentation in 2000, through the nipple. I had DD last March and had no problems breast feeding. I did have to supplement my supply some and only breast fed for four months. I had supply issues with my first DD prior to the surgery and only breast fed her for 6 weeks. I don't feel that the breast aug. hurt bf in any way.
Hope that helps!
I know two friends who have successfully breast fed after augmentation. They had no problems at all.?
I was going to have a reduction about a year ago and decided to wait until after we had a baby. I saw two different surgeons and they both said that breast feeding is much more complicated after reduction. So...I will have one after I am done breast feeding. ?
