me venting completely-but seriously, i never had the audacity to tell a pregnant woman how to eat, when i never had been pregnant myself. How do people have the nerve to say you are being too careful? is there such a thing? I just follow what they advise not to eat... nothing crazy. i am not just chewing on tree bark or anything!
Re: unwarranted advice!
I get people giving me a hard time very day, unless I am eating salad I hear "should you be eating that?", or "that's your lunch?". I just tell them the truth, no I ate my lunch right after breakfast, this is snacktime.?
?
I know I feel like people look at me like I'm an A-hole if I say I'm not eating soft cheeses and some fish that is high in mercuy...stuff like that... especially olderer gerneration women like my mom or aunts...because they didn't hve those restrictions... just wait...once you have the baby there will be 1000 more things for people to say "oh in my day we had babies sleep on their stomach..." I hate it when people pull the whole "well aren't we just so lucky that our kids survived us..." WHATEVER
I had this whole issue with my mother the other day. She was trying to tell me not to waste my money buying a crib!!! "Your baby won't be sleeping in it..." WTF!!! Apparently, neither I nor my sister slept in a crib, we slept in the bed with my parents. Which is all fine and dandy... but mine will have its own bed to sleep in.
My mother is the goddess of unsolicited advise as it is... and its her way or no way (as in she won't talk to you and you will get the 3rd degree and bad-talking behind your back for weeks)
