I am starting to think twice about registering at Target. I have heard they have a horrible return policy. What kind of problems have you had with them?
If it is not on your registry then you do not have a recipt and if you return an item like that then you get the lowest sale price, they place it on a store credit that can only be used in the same department.....which would probably be ok since a baby needs a lot of things throughout the first year.
Now this was my issue 3.5 years ago, i have heard some say it has changed and others say it is the same...check with your local store before registering to be certain.
Their return policy does suck, but I still registered there because they carry alot more baby products than walmart does, and even though I also registered at BRU, there isn't a location convieniently located near me or my friends/relatives so I don't expect to et much there.
I learned from having multiple wedding registries that I WILL get gifts from a target registry.
I have had multiple returns to target with no problem, but I also have no problem getting a target gift card to spend there either. If you don't want to shop there for baby things then I guess it wouldn't be the place. By the way I returned almost $300.00 worth of stuff!
That's the only place we registered. We didn't have any problems with our wedding regisitry there. If we do get anything w/o a receipt, I wouldn't feel bad asking the person if they have it. And if worse comes to worse, there's always regifting! GL
