I have a closet full of cute designer jeans, sevens, joes, etc that are uncomfortable to wear even with a bella band...
I would feel so guilty buying a pair of designer mat jeans, I just would hate to spend the money...
Did you splurge on jeans? Where can I go to get a nice pair that won't cost me an arm and a leg?
Re: JEANS
I dont think its worth it to splurge on something you can only wear for a short period of time. I have gotten my jeans at old navy and they are just fine (they come in long lengths which was crucial). I thought Gap had a great selection online as well and their stuff is always pretty good quality.
p.s. if you are determined to have a pair of designer mat jeans, check on ebay first.....I got a bunch of stuff CHEAP from an (apparently) rich lady cleaning out her closet of mat clothes.
i could never brring myself to spend a lot of money on maternity jeans... and im usually a spender... i really like my ON jeans.
And think of it this way... you should be back to your pre preg size in no time with jeans like those just waiting to be worn again!! Talk about inspiration
I can't justify spending big bucks on any maternity clothes really.
I haven't bought pants or jeans yet but will check out Old Navy, WalMart and Baby Depot.
I have to disagree with people who say you shouldn't splurge. Now, in my case, I did not have to splurge?since my cousin lent me her designer maternity jeans (7 for All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity and one from Pea in the Pod but I forget the brand)?but the designer jeans fit MUCH better than those Motherhood ones.
I have a real issue with Motherhood Maternity's jeans. They are sized S (4-6), M (8-10), L (12-14) and XL (16-18). Now, pre-pregnancy, I was a size 6. I was not a 4. So the size S is way too small and the M is too big.
At least Gap or Old Navy?and I have pants from both?are sized and they fit me pretty well. A bit loose now, since I'm only 17 weeks, but using a tummy sleeve helps.
So splurging on one pair of really good maternity jeans?especially if you get the full panel kind and wear it more than once a week?isn't crazy. If it fits in your budget, go for it!

These are the BEST maternity pants ever!!! I got mine from the motherhood maternity store for $39.... They have the secret fit belly on shorts, skirts, and capris too. It is honestly the most comfortable band I have found... I tries several types with the elastic bands, but this is breathable, much more flexible and just awesome.
Highly recommend them.
I don't own designer jeans anyway (I wear suits to work, so what's the point?), but I certainly wouldn't buy them for pregnancy. You're only going to wear them for a few months.
We had a special "jeans day" at work last week, so I stopped by Old Navy and bought a pair of maternity jeans. I got compliments on them all day, so I figure I'll just stick with those! I don't know what kind they were, but they were the kind folded up on shelves (not hanging). They're boot cut and have a full panel (which I folded down since I'm not super big yet).
I actually sell 7 for All Mankind and TR on ebay. I start them at $45 and yesterday I two pair that didn't sell. First time ever that they didn't sell!!!!!! If you're interested my ID is theoutletstore2. If I don't have your size listed just email me, I may have them but don't have them listed yet.
Ebay is the place to find cheaper jeans. There was a girl last week that bought 2 pairs of TR of r$25 each.
Try Marshells or Burlington Coat factory.... or even Gap Maternity or Old Navy....Comfy clothes and not raggged.
I bought 2 pairs of Sevens during my first pregnancy and they were cute but not as comfortable as you would want. With this pregnancy I bought these Gap jeans and I LOVE them they are sooo comfortable and look cute with flats, sandals, and boots. https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=6017&pid=605318
