Since DH is deployed, he can't be there for our first u/s today.  Would you take a video camera so that he can watch a video of everything?  He feels terrible for having to miss it and really wishes there was a way he could feel more included.

DEFINITELY take something to record it so you can send it to him - i'm sure he will love it!  also, try to record the heartbeat if you get a chance to hear it, he'll love that too!

I would try to record it.  DH was out of town for our first one and I didn't think about recording it.  I know that during my u/s I wasn't allowed to have my cell phone on, so I wouldn't recommend using that to record it.

I would take a video camera or even see if they can make a video/dvd for you.  I've heard that some doctors can do that.

Can you call the office and ask what they recommend?  I'm sure you are not the first to want to record for a person that couldn't be there.

If they let you, that would be a great idea. Our hospital wouldn't let my hubby use his blackberry to record it
