What is a long uterus? I noticed when i was getting my ultrasound a few
weeks ago she put "long uterus" on the screen. I didnt think about it
till a few days ago. I should have asked. Is it simply just a long
uterus. Whats so important about it? Hmmmm.....????????

"Dear jarvis: Without having the exact measurements it is difficult to know what your GYN was referring to. There are some uteri which have a larger or elongated uterine cavity. The main "difficulty" would be in placing an IUD to the top of the uterus.
Yes, trans can mean "sideways" or it can mean a transverse section view of the uterus by the ultrasound. Women can have a more transverse position of the uterus and still conceive and carry normally. This is similar to women who have uteri which are very tilted forward ("anteflexed") or tilted back ("retroflexed"). As the baby grows the uterus straightens out (like inflating a folded over balloon).
Bottom line, you should call your GYN for a more for sure answer based upon her notations.
