Washing car seat covers

i know this sounds like a stupid question, but we have never had to wash the convertible car seat cover and with our little incedent this morning we need to. Dh doesn't want to wash it cause it says " hand washable " so he just rinsed it and is hanging it.

I can put it on gentle cycle and run it through and hang dry it right ?

we have the britax marathon in his car !

I wash our covers in cold water on gentle and hang them up to dry.

I've ran ours through a regular wash and the dryer a few times.  It takes forever to hang dry.

I actually threw ours in the washing machine and in the dryer on gentle and no heat. (or low heat).

I have washed and dried our cover a few times- both the Marathon cover and the one we bought that goes over it.

Our first run in with the tummy bug prompted the purchase of the additional car seat cover : )
