CVS Results

Now that they have ruled out what they are looking for Down Syndrome and what not, they found a deletion in my baby's 7th chromosome. What does this all mean? I have no idea, no one can tell me although I found a lot of things about Williams Syndrome that results in a deletion in the 7th chromosome. More worries...I wonder if it was even worth all the headache to take these genetic tests.?

Re: CVS Results

  • Sorry about the cryptic doc, have faith and HH PG. My neighbor gave me some good advice the other day (mother of 6 all hers). She said there is a lot to be said about positive thinking and it made me feel so much better! Here's to a heathy baby for you.
  • Well now they declared the test inconclusive so that's why the suggested the amnio. I was hoping to avoid another needle in the stomach again.?
  • My mother had to have an amnio during her last pregnancy because she was over 35. My aunt had an amnio because she elected to. Both of their tests came back positive for Downs or some other such medical condition, and neither of their children have it.

I refuse to get one unless absolutely medically necessary. My baby's still going to be my baby, and I'd rather not worry forever and ever because some stupid test said something and then have everything come out fine like my mom and aunt's,
