I'm just wondering how everyone feels about giving a child two middle names. I was at work today and thinking of girl names and came up with this: Isla Vivienne Kate. I know it seems long, but it does sound pretty. WDYT?
i think that if you pick the right names and they aren't very long, it can sound fine. i think the names you picked out are cute, but it sounds like you're just mixing together celebrity baby names.

I think no matter what we do we're keeping Vivienne in the name cause it was my great-grandmother's, except she spelt it Vivian. I don't think a celebrity baby has been named Isla or Kate though. I think I sort of jinxed myself when we said we had the girls name picked out... now we're completely torn between Harlow and Isla.
If they are family names, I am all for it. My parents chose to honor both of their moms when they named me so I have two middle names. I've always loved my name and admired my parents' choice.
my brother has two middle names...they're hyphenated. ?it makes it much easier on him for filling out forms, initials, monograms, etc. ?just a suggestions!
My goddaughter has two middle names: Elizabeth Mae. She was going to just have Mae, but her mother kept dreaming about Elizabeth. A lot of times, we will even say E. Mae. I love it. I got a 2nd middle name when I got confirmed and I like using it.
My husband and I both have two middle names. My son has two middle names (Joseph Matthew Nikolas). Our girl name has two: Marianna Aurora Rose. If we ever decide on another by name, it will have two middle names.
We like it. All ours are family names, so it allows us to honor as many family members as possible. And I think we've chosen beautiful names that flow well together.
We were going to use the name William Michael James if our daughter had been a boy. We wanted to honour both of our grandfathers and my dad, and we love the way the three names go together. I never really thought it was odd to use two middle names. Almost every other poster on the bump told me it was too much and that I should hyphenate the name, making it William Michael-James (so that there is really only one middle name) I didn't plan on doing that.
Isla Vivienne Kate is beautiful. I would totally go for that name if I were you. It's long, but it's gorgeous.

Thank you! And William Michael James is great; it's practically all my favorite classic boy names rolled into one and it sounds beautiful. I agree it's long, but it sounds so damn pretty! DH called it "fancy." Hahaha!
Oh, and the two middle names come from my great-grandmother (Vivian) and DH's grandmother (Kate), so it does honor family members.
H has 2 middle name, and he hates it. He doesn't want to give any child of ours 2 mn's. I'm not really into it either. It always seem like "to much" to me...
My brother has 2 middle names. I think as long as it flows nicely it will work. His is Eric William James lastname 2 syllables. I like what you have picked out.

We like the alternative spelling. Plus, their pronounced different. We were also thinking Vivianne.

I have a double first name and THREE distinct middle names. Only two is practically a nickname for me.
Only the first one will ever get used, so have as many as you want!
