Most days I go to pick DD up they have done her hair for her. Which sounds really sweet, it is, all the girls take turns sitting in the teacher's lap for a turn. I think this is why DD didn't freak out at her 1st haircut because she's used to someone playing with it & she loves clips & bows & stuff (so not me!)
Trouble is, I don't really like her hair styled in pigtails & stuff. I like one clip to keep it out of her eyes but that's it. Her hair just doesn't suit much else. The days I pick her up and it's like 2 huge pineapples sticking out the sides of her head, I just cringe. Do I just keep quiet? Most days we are going straight home anyway but if not, I have to re-do her hair.
Do I keep quiet? I think I know the answer here, I don't want to offend her teacher.
Re: Daycare mums
I would keep quiet. I'm sure she enjoys all the attention her other little friends get.
I wish they would do Jack's hair after nap. He has curly hair and it's always crazy when I pick him up. I used to show up with a squirt bottle and a comb at first. I gave that up and just have a crazy haired child now.
I would just tell them that you prefer her hair a particular way. I always tell my son's daycare what I do and do not like. No biggie.
I wonder if you daughter likes the way she looks in the mirrow when they style her hair. Maybe that is why thy continue to do it?
Agreed.
