ob/educ appt was today.

so i thought today would be the pee in a cup, blood work, fun stuff.  nope.  today was just talking to a nurse.  going over family history, what i can/can't eat, exercise, etc.  she gave me a TON of paperwork & a bunch of goodies (it was like xmas!).  and that was it.  i have an appt in 2 weeks to go back for the full long physical appt.  and i guess then they'll try to see the h/b.

she figured my EDD was 10/8, which i think is based on my LMP, even though i brought my chart & i figure my ovulation date puts me EDD 10/5.  whatever.  i'll wait til we start measuring for dating purposes.  i'm not gonna argue now.  i'm keepin my ticker for 10/5 though. 

so that was officially my first appt for being ku.  uneventful.  but still feels a teensy bit more real.  maybe.

That's weird when I went in for my first appointment they did all the med history and did the pee in the cup thing and all the blood work.  I was actually told I was going to have my u/s done but they didn't and told me to come back in 2 weeks for that.  The doc thinks I'm about 6-7 wekks but I think I'm farther along than that, my LMP was back in December. 

I was hoping to do the u/s so I could think this was more real but it still hasn't sunk in for me yet except that I haven't a period, my boobs are tender and getting heavier/bigger and the fact that none of my pants fit me anymore.   

I have been told that my EDD is any where from 9-28 to 10-2.  So I guess when I go in in 2 weeks I will have a better EDD.

yeah, i swear that's what they said on the phone when i made the appt.  but it was so long ago, who knows.  oh well.  they also asked me for the date of my dec. cycle, which i thought was weird.  took my best guess.  oh well.  i assume they know what they're doing.
