Babycenter is technically correct. For example, when your baby is in its first year of life, its is less then one, and it's second year starts after the first birthday. But, I guess because that is confusing, some other sites have just started calling you Week 7 after you hit the 7 week mark. THAT confused me, my EDD is 10-13, and I thought I was on week 8 this week, only to discover today the sites I have been looking at really have me at week 7. So I've been reading ahead and have to settle for nothing new this week I didn't already think was happening last week .
agree with previous posts, BUT . . . babycetner does have me at 11 weeks and as you can see, i AM 11 weeks. technically i'm in my 12th week, but on the weeks i turn 11, 12, 13 weeks they send me an email and say "you are 11 weeks" and they give you all the low down. so, i'm not sure why yours is different than mine is.
This still confuses me. I am nearing the end of 7 weeks and on Thursday at 8 weeks, 0 days I'll get from BabyCenter the "You are 8 weeks" - but then I'm technically in my 9th week no? So if I have a pregnancy guide week-by-week at home which week do I look up on Thursday?
Re: Babycenter ( while we are at it)... Why do you have me on week 8?

Well...technically you are on your week 8 and last week you were on week 7.
According to Bump I'm week 20 but baby center and baby fit have me on week 21.
