Just thinking about names for baby #2. I like the name Brianna and for a mn I like Joy (after my aunt), and our last name starts with a F. So she would be BJF. I guess I am focusing on the BJ part - WDYT
I don't think it would ever really be an issue but that's my opinion. I think sometimes people go overhead analyzing initials when in all actuality how often do people correlate initials in real life. My DS's initials are TPW and a friend of mine obsessed about the TP part and I was always like "Really?!?!" I think you're fine!
I have a friend who has the initials BJ. Now that we are in our late 20's, we call her BJ sometimes as a joke, but never when we were younger (I have known her since we were babies). I don't think we put two and two together when we were younger.
I don't think it is that big of a deal. Figure the J is for her middle name, which a lot of her friends won't even know. Also, like a previous poster said, if you get things monogramed the last initial goes in the middle which would break up the initials BJ, so it would actually be BFJ. I would use those names and not worry too much about it. It would be a different story if your last name started with J.
I think that intials are only an issue when parents try to make something out of them. Seriously, don't over-analyze it! If it was ASS or somthing like that, it's a different story. BJF is nothing.
I would be more concerned about first initial and last initial vs all initials. How often do you spell out your initials and how many people actually know your middle name? I wouldn't worry about it.
My ds is BJO so he has both BJ and BO as initials. It bothered me some when we were deciding on names but we named ds for people who were important to us (Bart & John) so we ended up with Brady Jackson.
It was more important to us to honor people than to worry about initials. If you want to name dd after your aunt, you should do it. Kids will always find a way to make fun of each other - regardless of their initials.
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
