What Meds Bring on AF?

I'm currently on day 42 with no AF.  My doctor told me to wait 60 days and if she doesn't show up, they will give me something to bring it on.  I didn't ask what it is, but if anyone has ever had that happen, what do theytypically give you and did your cycles go back to normal soon thereafter?

I believe Provera is what most doctors will prescribe to bring on AF.

I was given Provera.  It took two doses for me, but for most it only takes one.

I just recently went through this. I had my MC on November 13, and AF just didn't seem to want to come back after that. So I went to the dr and he gave me some Medroxyprogesterone (Provera) to induce af.

The Provera was 10 pills, small pills much like bcp. You are supposed to start af w/in 1-10 days afterwards I belieive it was. My af finally showed 54 hrs after I took my last pill. 

I can't really tell you if my cycles are back to normal after using it or not, bc I am only CD9 from that provera and taking clomid.

you can use prometrium also. It's safer in case you maybe pregnant.  Provera contraindicated in pregnancy. Prometrium is ok to take.
